Becky Donahue

BECKY DONOHUE
Co-founder and Editor of Girlcomic.net

Becky Donohue is a stand-up comic and actress born and bred in New York City. When she's not doing the road and hitting the college comedy circuit, Becky is a regular at premier NYC comedy clubs such as The Comic Strip and Gotham Comedy Club. She's also a favorite at NBC's performance space - PSNBC and The Luna Lounge.

The b3 comedy lounge has become one of the hottest rooms in the downtown scene. The super hip show is synonymous with the name, Becky Donohue - host and producer of one of the longest running comedy shows around. And when Becky feels like shutting up, she sits down to write hilarious essays on her critically acclaimed web-magazine, www.girlcomic.net, which she co-founded this year.

Becky has trained extensively as an actress at the William Esper Studios and The Lee Strasberg Institute. She has appeared in a Sundance selection, The Interrogation & in Toronto's She's So Funny stand-up special. Becky's a comedian who's larger than life. Her chance meetings with a one-eyed man and a one-legged boy lead her to question motherhood and musical theatre. Her act soothes our worst fears by making us laugh at them. The L.I.E. Weekly writes, "Becky is a sassy comic that keeps the entertainment business vital!"
